Bench Press Champ
`
Randoms One by One - Number 4:
I won a bench press competition when I was nearly 40 yo - Most Reps of 70lbs. I did 35 reps and won a cool trophy.
Well, what can I say other than I'm a really strong girl. One of my sisters is also strong... maybe we share genes with Cratus.
My maximum lift was 130-140lbs - I know that is a 10lb range but I can't remember now which it was. I do know it was bloody heavy!
There is a photo of me on the wall of the gym where my two sons are now members! It must feel like I am keeping my eye on them!

I was convincing people that at 40 you broke down, you turned 40 and it was all over. Now you blow that illusion I was trying to make, but what do I expect from a farm girl there always strong from doing real work. I know you can take the girl off the farm but you can’t take the farm girl out of her she is going to do a lot more physical work and be in better shape!
Congratulations on being the strongest person, I suppose you can contribute that to being the oldest and having to do the work unlike kids today who think a little house work is hard work!
Well done you!
I'm also into exercise - have done some sort of physical training since I was in my teens, taught aerobics when I was in my 20s (all those ghastly lycra leotards!) and now (mid-forties) do circuit training once a week and weight-training in between.
Hold your head up high - us 'old birds' who keep fit will last longer than those couch potatoes. I hope that the boys are proud of their mum.
