AMAZING!! You are strong. *applause*

I was convincing people that at 40 you broke down, you turned 40 and it was all over. Now you blow that illusion I was trying to make, but what do I expect from a farm girl there always strong from doing real work. I know you can take the girl off the farm but you can’t take the farm girl out of her she is going to do a lot more physical work and be in better shape!

Congratulations on being the strongest person, I suppose you can contribute that to being the oldest and having to do the work unlike kids today who think a little house work is hard work!

Go Emjay!
I think it was pumping all those irrigation syphons.

To have your mother's picture hanging on the wall of your gym..thats Seriously cool. You go, woman!

Well done you!

I'm also into exercise - have done some sort of physical training since I was in my teens, taught aerobics when I was in my 20s (all those ghastly lycra leotards!) and now (mid-forties) do circuit training once a week and weight-training in between.

Hold your head up high - us 'old birds' who keep fit will last longer than those couch potatoes. I hope that the boys are proud of their mum.

Thank you! Sorry I am a bit behind in my replying!
Thank you Jamie. I was always sort of surprised to find myself at 40. I didn't expect to feel so "normal" still... and now I am years past it and still don't "feel" my age. Though, as you say, the body certainly starts to break down!! I hope I am never too weak to carry my food!
Oh, gosh -you're welcome-- don't worry about being "late" - I'm a couple of weeks behind in any of mine,,,,,,,
LOL!! Those 4" ones filled with water were pretty heavy.
It is, isn't it. I thought they might be embarrassed but I think they think it is kind of cool that their mother did it!
I loved strength training. I miss it now that I don't have a gym anywhere easily accessible and don't have room for "equipment" in the house. I hope that I am always strong enough to carry my own luggage and groceries! :-)
