I enlarged the picture. They are growing babies up on the porch in flower boxes. It has taken them years and years to get that many plants and have them grow that big. They have to be hardy cactus to winter over year after year. I never knew that was possible. See? You've taught me something new again.

LOL... I imagined the water content of succulents freezing in our winter and then defrosting the leaves to a soggy mess. I guess they really are hardy.
